| Abstract (English): | The objective of this study was to determine the correlation between paradigmatic parenting models and interpersonal relationships among students in Santa Rosa canton during 2026. The study had a correlational scope, aimed at analyzing the association between family practices and the social, emotional, and communicative development of students. The methodology followed a quantitative approach, with a basic research type, non-experimental design, and cross-sectional scope. The sample consisted of 27 students, to whom a structured Likert-scale questionnaire was applied, organized according to the dimensions of affection and emotional support, control and discipline, family communication, selfawareness, personal competencies, and emotional self-awareness. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data processing, applying the normality test and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The results showed a very high positive correlation between paradigmatic parenting models and interpersonal relationships, with a coefficient of 0.984 and a significance level of 0.000. Likewise, very high positive correlations were found between affection and emotional support, control and discipline, and family communication with interpersonal relationships. It is concluded that family practices based on affection, clear rules, guidance, supervision, active listening, and dialogue contribute to strengthening students’ interpersonal relationships; therefore, the research hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. | Abstract (Spanish): | El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la correlación entre los modelos paradigmáticos de crianza y las relaciones interpersonales en estudiantes del cantón Santa Rosa, durante el año 2026. La investigación tuvo un alcance correlacional, orientado a analizar la asociación entre las prácticas familiares y el desarrollo social, emocional y comunicativo de los estudiantes. La metodología se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, con diseño no experimental y corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 27 estudiantes, a quienes se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado mediante escala tipo Likert, organizado según las dimensiones afectividad y apoyo emocional, control y disciplina, comunicación familiar, conciencia de uno mismo, competencias personales y autoconciencia emocional. Para el procesamiento de los datos se empleó estadística descriptiva e inferencial, aplicando la prueba de normalidad y el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson. Los resultados evidenciaron una correlación positiva muy alta entre los modelos paradigmáticos de crianza y las relaciones interpersonales, con un coeficiente de 0,984 y una significancia de 0,000. Asimismo, se hallaron correlaciones positivas muy altas entre afectividad y apoyo emocional, control y disciplina, y comunicación familiar con las relaciones interpersonales. Se concluye que las prácticas familiares basadas en afecto, normas claras, orientación, supervisión, escucha activa y diálogo favorecen el fortalecimiento de las relaciones interpersonales en los estudiantes, por lo que se acepta la hipótesis investigativa y se rechaza la hipótesis negativa. | Abstract (Portuguese): | O objetivo deste estudo foi determinar a correlação entre os modelos paradigmáticos de criação familiar e as relações interpessoais em estudantes do cantão Santa Rosa, durante o ano de 2026. O estudo teve alcance correlacional, orientado a analisar a associação entre as práticas familiares e o desenvolvimento social, emocional e comunicativo dos estudantes. A metodologia foi desenvolvida sob uma abordagem quantitativa, de tipo básica, com desenho não experimental e corte transversal. A amostra foi composta por 27 estudantes, aos quais foi aplicado um questionário estruturado com escala do tipo Likert, organizado conforme as dimensões afetividade e apoio emocional, controle e disciplina, comunicação familiar, consciência de si mesmo, competências pessoais e autoconsciência emocional. Para o processamento dos dados, utilizaram-se estatística descritiva e inferencial, aplicando-se a prova de normalidade e o coeficiente de correlação de Pearson. Os resultados evidenciaram uma correlação positiva muito alta entre os modelos paradigmáticos de criação familiar e as relações interpessoais, com coeficiente de 0,984 e significância de 0,000. Também foram encontradas correlações positivas muito altas entre afetividade e apoio emocional, controle e disciplina, e comunicação familiar com as relações interpessoais.
