Abstract: This study examines how managerial capabilities influence assistive technology adoption and sustainable performance in special education institutions. Drawing on the Resource-Based View, Stakeholder Theory, and the Technology Acceptance Model, it investigates sustainable education financing, disability-related accounting disclosure, inclusive social marketing orientation, and digital market capability as antecedents of institutional readiness and performance. Data were collected from 312 managerial respondents representing special education institutions in Indonesia and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The results show that sustainable education financing, disability-related accounting disclosure, and inclusive social marketing orientation significantly improve sustainable special education performance, whereas digital market capability has no significant direct effect. However, all four managerial capabilities significantly strengthen assistive technology adoption, which subsequently enhances sustainable performance and mediates the relationship between managerial capabilities and performance. The findings indicate that assistive technology adoption depends not only on resource availability but also on managerial readiness, accountability practices, stakeholder engagement, and digital capacity.
