Abstract (English): The present study aimed to determine the relationship between the use of social networks and sociolinguistic language practices in ninthgrade students of the "Calasancio Victoria Valverde Private Educational Unit" in the academic year 2025-2026. The research was developed under a quantitative approach, of basic type, with correlational scope and nonexperimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 24 students, selected by a non-probabilistic sampling. The technique used was the survey and the instrument a structured questionnaire with scale type Likert, whose reliability reached an alpha of Cronbach of 0.791 and 0.727. For the data analysis, the Spearman correlation coefficient was used, obtaining a strong and statistically significant positive correlation between social media use and sociolinguistic language practices (ρ = .718; p < .001). In addition, the results showed significant relationships between the use of social networks and specific dimensions such as graphophonemic, lexical-semantic, and multimodal practices, reflected in the frequent use of abbreviations, neologisms, extranyms, emojis and other resources specific to digital communication today. Consequently, the general hypothesis of research was accepted and the null hypothesis rejected, concluding that social networks significantly influence students' communicative and sociolinguistic practices within today's digital environments.
