| Abstract (English): | The article deals with the distinction and analysis of grammatical and orthographic sentences in German lessons, especially in the context of literary texts. Grammatical sentences are based on a predicate and valency-required sentence elements, whereas orthographic sentences are defined by punctuation marks, the use of which influences the perception of the text. A focus is placed on the importance of complex subordinate clauses, which, as sentence elements or parts of sentence elements, provide central semantic information and are indispensable for the understanding and interpretation of literary works, such as the poem "Definition" by Erich Fried or the song "Ingloria Victoria" by Danger Dan. The presented teaching model raises learners' awareness of the functional relationships between sentence form and meaning and promotes a grammatically grounded text interpretation that connects syntax, semantics, and communicative function.
