Abstract:	The article presents early memories and experiences of the author. It has been mentioned that the early life of the author went through poverty, and this poverty taught many things to him. While talking about his early life, the author mentions that his family lived in the basement of a church located in a small poor community in Eastern Kentucky. The family survived on whatever the churchgoers gave it. His parents due to poor health and disabilities were unable to work. His father was used to preach in rural churches whenever he felt well. The author further mentions that he learnt the basic realities of life from poverty, and came to know about how to survive in life when conditions are unfavorable.
