| Abstract: | Aim The study aimed to evaluate the effect of a designed educational program on Blind Women's knowledge regarding breast self-examination. Methodology Quasi experimental (pre-post) study design was utilized. 60 blind female was used participated in the study and was conducted at Egyptian Blind Association at 14 Qenawy St, off Sheikh Rayhan St., Abdeen, Cairo, Sample. Results revealed a highly significant improvement in the total level of knowledge regarding breast self-examination among the studied blind women's after the program implementation (p <0.001).preprogram data showed that the majority of participant (88,3%) had a poor level of knowledge which remarkably decreased to 13,4% post program .conversely, the percentage of participant with a very good level significantly rise from only 3,4% before the intervention to 68,3% after the designed educational program .Conclusion Based on the study findings, that implementing a designed educational program for blind women s significantly improved their knowledge regarding breast self-examination [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
