| Abstract (English): | Literature plays a crucial role in early childhood education (defined as the first six years), requiring interactions that provide children with meaningful opportunities to explore literary works. This study analyzes and interprets research on children's literature published in Spanish between 2012 and 2024, aiming to offer an overview of knowledge regarding literary education during this early stage of development. Methodologically, this is a documentary research study that employs a state-of-the-art review design. The findings highlight the relationship between literature and the development of child domains from a didactic perspective. However, a tendency among educators to instrumentalize literature was observed, viewing it more as an educational and moralizing tool than as an artistic expression. The study concludes that an important aspect of literary education focuses on the interpretation of stories, adopting a didactic approach oriented toward dialogic (or shared) reading. Additionally, connections are sougth between literature and the visual, dramatic, and musical arts in social contexts. Finally, there is a preference for the narrative genre, particularly stories, over poetry and theater. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
