Abstract (English): This study examined academic trends related to 21st-century skills in science education through bibliometric analysis. A total of 395 publications selected from the Web of Science database between 2002 and 2025 were evaluated; the number of publications, citation frequency, keyword trends, influential authors, institutions, and countries were analyzed. The findings show an increase in publications after 2017 and identify Osman K. as the most productive author. The institution with the highest contribution is Pendidikan Indonesia University, the journal with the most publications is Problems of Education in the 21st Century, and the journal with the most citations is the Journal of Research in Science Teaching. The United States, Indonesia, and Türkiye are among the most productive countries; science, technology, engineering, mathematics, scientific literacy, critical thinking, and collaboration emerge as key themes. Overall, this research reveals how academic interest in 21st-century skills in science education has evolved over time and provides a strategic perspective on the literature in this field. The findings offer insights that are both theoretically and practically instructive for future studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Turkish): Bu çalışmada fen eğitimi alanında 21. yüzyıl becerilerine ilişkin akademik eğilimler bibliyometrik analizle incelenmiştir. 2002-2025 yılları arasında Web of Science veri tabanından seçilen 395 yayın değerlendirilmiş; yayın sayısı, atıf sıklığı, anahtar kelime trendleri, etkili yazarlar, kurumlar ve ülkeler analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular, 2017 sonrası yayın sayısının arttığını ve Osman K.’nın en üretken yazar olduğunu göstermektedir. En çok katkı sağlayan kurum Pendidikan Indonesia University’dir, en fazla yayın "Problems of Education in the 21st Century" dergisinde yer alırken en çok atıf "Journal of Research in Science Teaching" dergisine aittir. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, Endonezya ve Türkiye en üretken ülkeler arasında yer almakta; fen, teknoloji, mühendislik ve matematik, bilimsel okuryazarlık, eleştirel düşünme ve iş birliği temel temalar olarak ön plana çıkmaktadır. Genel olarak bu araştırma, fen eğitimi alanında 21. yüzyıl becerilerine ilişkin akademik ilginin zaman içinde nasıl evrildiğini ortaya koymakta ve bu alan yazınına stratejik bir bakış açısı kazandırmaktadır. Elde edilen veriler, gelecekte yapılacak çalışmalar için hem teorik hem de pratik düzeyde yol gösterici nitelikte bulgular sunmaktadır. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
