Abstract: In this collaboratively authored piece, authors examine the impact of the developmental education reform movement from the perspective of administrative community college faculty leading a large, centralized online unit at a statewide institution. This piece explores the individual, discipline-specific perspectives of a diverse group of liberal arts chairs as they reflect on published research and the ways their area–including student performance as well as faculty labor and attitudes–and shifts in developmental course access and placement. Additionally, the piece explores the relationship between online course outcomes; the impact of online modality; and student preparedness and under-preparedness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
