| Abstract: | The article presents a resource unit for use with the conservation of hearing program in grades five and six in the U.S. There are three general objectives of the unit: to comprehend sound in relation to hearing process; become oriented for a hearing testing experience; and recognize the importance of hearing conservation. Its specific objectives are to learn about sound and attain an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human ear. Several learning experiences incorporated in the unit includes reading, seeing a film and experimenting about sound. |
