Abstract: The article presents biographical information on former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. He was born on February 12, 1809 in Hardin County, Kentucky. His paternal lineage is rooted from the Quaker family in Pennsylvania. When he was eight, he and his parents moved to a forest home in Indiana via a raft down the Ohio river. A believer of liberty, his father has decided to move the family out of Kentucky because it was a slave state.
