| Abstract: | The article looks at how an international education foundation is working with American organizations to offer online courses in Spanish to the growing Hispanic population in the U.S. The foundation, known as Funiber, which is short for Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana, provides online courses to Spanish and Portuguese speakers in Spain and Latin America through an alliance with various institutions. Sergio Abramovich is the director of the American branch called Funiber USA. According to Abramovich, the next step is to form alliances with American colleges and universities to help get Funiber's courses out to the public. |
