| Abstract: | The article presents a lesson activity that demonstrates the characteristic of volcanic mudflows using three-dimensional clay models. The lesson starts with an activity that introduces the topic to be discussed which in this case lahar, a lesser-known but important volcanic hazard. Moreover, the article provides instruction in creating the three-dimensional model of a volcano as well as the process by which these models be used in the process of discussion and activity learning. Furthermore, the lesson plan provides extended activities that relates to cited lesson which includes film showing, map exercise, and essay writing. |
