| Abstract: | The article discusses the Before-During-After (BDA) model and its use in planning effective secondary mathematics lessons in the U.S. This BDA is a lesson format that divides the class session into three parts with organized activity for each. A precalculus lesson designed using a BDA format is presented. It discusses how the lesson went through in the Before phase, Durign phase, and After phase. It notes that the lesson should not be three disjointed activities, pointing out that each phase should support the others. Benefit of using a BDA model is also discussed. |
