| Abstract: | The article focuses on the use of rubrics in education as a means by which students can rate themselves. The difference between self-assessment and self-evaluation is discussed, and the advantages and disadvantages of using rubrics are explored. The influence of student self-assessment is described by the author, who is a teacher. Examples of rubric content is also provided, along with information about what makes a rubric effective. The importance of revision in the writing process for student assignments is also examined. |
