| Abstract: | The article discusses the developments and accomplishments of the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) between summer 2007 and spring 2008. The implementation of recommendations made by the U.S. Library of Congress Working Group (LCWG) on the Future of Bibliographic Control is discussed. The implementation of recommendations made by the Task Force on Non-English Access is mentioned. Also discussed are the results of a survey of ALCTS members, the involvement of the ALCTS in U.S. legislative matters relating to libraries, and the inauguration of the American Library Association's strategic planning web site. |
