| Abstract: | The article provides the background to the study "Aligning science assessment standards: Louisiana and the 2009 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)." This study was made in anticipation of an increasing need in Louisiana to be better informed about how state assessment standards in science compare with those tested in the NAEP. There are several factors that make the study particularly the importance of state science assessments on the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. |
