Abstract: The article reports on the success of a program aimed at redesigning secondary school systems in Ohio. The program has led to higher graduation rates, increases in enrollment in college courses and improved test scores. The author explains that the project was funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and organized by the KnowledgeWorks Foundation. Some of the features of the project are discussed.
