Abstract: The article focuses on the impact of utilizing poetry in school libraries to children and students. It states that poetry induces fun and enjoyment in the learning process of the children. It also mentions that poetry works as a pleasure and fun for children, yet analysis and follow-up exercises is still needed which is important to increase enthusiasm among readers. Meanwhile, it notes that children like to illustrate poetry because of the wide range of imagination it brings to the readers. It highlights that poetry creates an appeal to the young readers. However, it states that the more the earnest and exam-oriented the school becomes, the less the contemporary poetry is read. It suggests development of the library collections to invite the children's enthusiasm.
