Abstract: The article explores a leadership program developed by the Washington State University (WSU) Libraries to prepare participants to serve as committee, working group, and task force chairpersons. It notes that topics covered included leadership styles, organizational culture, and emotional intelligence. Participant responses to the program are discussed, including self-directed learning components, reading selections, and the development of individual group processes. The use of the program to support employee development is also examined.
