Abstract: The article examines how tutor and tutee benefit from peer teaching in Great Britain. It discusses the establishment of the Peer Teaching Society by fourth-year medical students at the University of Sheffield Medical School in June 2008 to give students the chance to improve and practice their teaching skills. It notes the development of Student Gateway to Medical Education program by the group and the Academic Unit of Medical Education for people with interest in teaching and medical education.
