The article focuses on several U.S. high schools which won citations in the 2009 Architectural Portfolio competition based on their architectural design. The Gates Chili High School in New York, designed by LaBella Associates PC offers connectivity of spaces. In the Woodward Academy's Math and Science Building College Park in Georgia, designed by Perkins + Will Inc., learning areas are transparent to both interior and exterior side. A list of high schools cited as outstanding is also presented. |
