| Abstract: | The article discusses the methods used by school librarian Keisa Williams to teach students at Monarch Academy, a charter school in Oakland, California, computer and media literacy and to integrate technology into the school's curriculum. Williams discusses her assumptions regarding the computer literacy among her elementary school aged students and the reality of children unfamiliar with laptops, trackpads, and computer mice. Clicking, keyboarding, and student empowerment are also discussed. |
