| Abstract: | This article deals with the involvement of authors in the recording of their own books. Author Joshilyn Jackson's editor was reluctant to accept her suggestion that she will narrate her second novel "Between, Georgia" herself. Her editor accepted her idea after submitting an audition tape. Publishing firm Farrar, Straus & Giroux directly asked author Sam Lipsyte to record his latest novel "The Ask." Particular focus is given to the various methods of preparation involved in recording an audiobook. |
