Abstract: Roderick Martin, in his book 'Transforming Management in Central and Eastern Europe,' introduces issues of central and eastern European management to a wide audience. Martin does this through an extensive literature review and by restricting the scope of the review to seven countries: Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, and Bulgaria. This book does a good job of summarizing the research on central and eastern Europe through 1998. Martin discusses both the original expectations for change and the results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
