Abstract: The article provides a personal account of creating a high school library media center (LMC) at the Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies (MLWGS), a school specializing in government and international studies for gifted and talented students in Richmond, Virginia. The role of the library media specialist is explained and examples are given of research projects, materials used, and how gifted students use the library media center.
