Abstract: The author describes her approach to collection development for her school library, with particular focus given to the practice of purchasing multiple copies of popular titles. A formula calculating the rate of return on popular fiction titles is presented and a list of popular young adult novels and series is included. The author makes comparisons between her school library and bookstore settings. INSET: Multiple, Must-have Books.
