Abstract: The article offers the author's insights regarding the influence of the works and life of Burton R. Clark in the study of the higher education. He states that Clark provides the vocabulary and basic tools which enable students to progress concerning their understanding to the system of the higher education. He mentions the association of Clark and the mass higher education which is first accomplished in the U.S. wherein he was known to be "The Great Generation."
