Abstract: An essay is presented on the other side of Winnepeg, Manitoba particularly its borders and boundaries. It offers the effects of national borders and temperaments to the citizens, as well as the drawbacks in adopting a totalizing global perspective. The author reveals his intent to study the composition of Winnipeg as part of his place-based course, including its geography, history, and conducting fieldwork to begin mapping place.
