Abstract: In this article, the author discusses the trend and system of the band music education offered at the Program Improvement School District in the U.S., with emphasis on the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) program. He discusses the performance of students at the middle school in which students who were not meeting educational goals there later performed poorly in high school. He suggests the idea of designing a music program that fits with the community and the advantage of doing rehearsals within the school day.
