| Abstract: | This chapter highlights themes running throughout the preceding chapters and illustrates important issues in improving the design, implementation, and use of internal evaluation. The authors contemplate where internal evaluation might go in the future by suggesting new directions for how internal evaluation is conceptualized and practiced to realize its potential for enhancing the organizational and program growth and competitive advantage. © Wiley Periodicals, Inc., and the American Evaluation Association.
