| Abstract: | The article examines the issue of gender biases in Zimbabwean schools. According to the author, the Zimbabwean government adopted the National Gender Policy in 2004 which aimed to deal with issues related to empowering women in education, training, politics, the economy, and decision making. The author reports that Zimbabwean textbooks promote patriarchal ideologies, while teacher attitudes and expectations compound their influence. |
