Abstract: This study identifies the level of importance given by relevant New Zealand stakeholders to the workplace competencies required of business graduates. The study builds on previous work undertaken in this area, both from the authors' prior research and of similar studies elsewhere. While the findings confirm the importance placed on graduates' personal competencies, they also identify some key differences in perspectives between education and employer stakeholders. The findings also lend further support to cooperative education programs and the opportunity they provide for the development of these essential graduate competencies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
