| Abstract: | The article discusses the use of assessment data by inservice teachers to inform instruction. It explores the association of the use of assessment data in an aligned and interconnected fashion with improved student performance. It points out the significance of assessment in making educational decisions. Also cites are strategies to avoid decision fatigue which include predetermining standards of comparison, routinizing low-stakes or frequent decisions, and getting input or feedback. Furthermore, a flowchart to systemize decision making in education is presented. |
