Abstract: The article discusses a study determining functional health status and physical activity determinants in 27 patients with Kawasaki disease (KD). Long-term cardiovascular implications of KD includes proatherogenic alteration of lipid profile endothelial dysfunction and inflammation. Findings of the study showed that lower MVPA in KD patients was significantly associated with female gender; lower child self-efficacy score; and functioning behavioral issues.
