| Abstract: | The article discusses a case of ten in-service and pre-service teachers' criteria of assessing the quality of science test items in the U.S. It provides a detailed account on the summative test as a professional development opportunity by allowing participants to self-assess the quality of test items in a context that removed the purpose of the test. Also examined are the results that offer insights into teachers' interpretations of science test items. |
