Abstract: The article discusses ways to assess student creativity and encourage students to be more creative. The author defines creativity in terms of originality and high quality of student work and suggests stimulating students' creativity via assignments that encourage brainstorming, reorganizing ideas in new ways, and combining multiple ideas. Other topics include establishing criteria and rubrics for creativity, providing effective feedback on students' creativity, and the relationship between educational expectations and creativity.
