Abstract: The article focuses on the doctoral programs that serves the need of educational leaders. It says that doctoral programs in education leadership is subject to criticism and proposal for reform. It states that doctoral degrees in educational leadership grown as universities lessen or waived the foreign language requirement. Moreover, reconfiguration of the degree structure in educational leadership relies on the competencies used as a rubric for knowledge, performances and dispositions.
