| Abstract: | The article discusses a July 25 Project 24 webinar in 2013 wherein educational technology (ed-tech) leaders discussed the factors that influenced their decisions to move to a one-to-one or bring your own device (BYOD) policy. Patrick Larkin, assistant superintendent for learning at the Burlington Public Schools in Massachusetts, explained why the district chose one device instead of a BYOD policy. The advantage to students not having the same device is also noted. |
