Abstract (English): This article presents a study carried out at the Industrial University of Santander Institute of Regional Projection and Distance Learning. It is an educational process that has given importance to the semiotic perspective in the framework of the strengthening of scientific and technological education proposed by the Colombian Ministry of Education with the aim of training professionals with the competence to participate competitively in the productive and social world. To this end, within the framework of the Santander Agro-industrial Educational Alliance, a curriculum was made through the collaboration of productive, academic and governmental sectors. The educational agents involved have participated in a self-learning process of a collaborative nature to offer a curriculum for training in the agro-industry through cycles based on acquiring knowledge and competences. The study follows these lines: conceptual construction, curricula construction and implications for educational practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Portuguese): El presente artículo presenta una experiencia que implementa la Universidad Industrial de Santander-Instituto de Proyección Regional y Educación a Distancia. Es un proceso educativo que ha dado importancia a la perspectiva semiótica en el marco del fortalecimiento de la educación técnica y tecnológica que adelanta el Ministerio de Educación Nacional Colombiano, con el propósito de formar profesionales con competencias para participar competitivamente en el mundo productivo y social. Para ello, en el marco de la Alianza Educativa Agroindustrial Santander, se realiza un trabajo de construcción curricular concertado entre los sectores productivos, académicos y gubernamentales. Los agentes educativos han participado en un proceso de autoformación y de carácter colaborativo para ofrecer un currículo para la formación en agroindustria, a través ciclos propedéuticos y competencias. La experiencia se muestra a partir de la descripción de las siguientes vivencias: la construcción conceptual, la construcción curricular y las implicaciones en la práctica educativa.
