Abstract: The authors discuss the results of their 2011-2012 study the online information-seeking behavior of undergraduate students at Seton Hall University which found that a majority of students conducted library research using the Internet search engine Google. According to the authors, such behavior is detrimental to search library information resources such as catalogs, listings, and citation databases. They argue that students' exposure to Google has deterred from their abilities to use traditional information structures.
