Abstract (English): The use of results produced through an evaluation process is a real concern for evaluators, especially when the process has a formative purpose. Utilization focused-evaluation seeks to ensure that several conditions must be met to optimize the use of knowledge generated during the evaluation process. This article describes this approach as well as the conditions of transfer of knowledge that optimize the use of evaluation results by users. It provides a concrete example of an applied utilization-focused evaluation and highlights the success factors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (French): L'utilisation des résultats produits au cours d'une démarche d'évaluation est une préoccupation réelle des évaluateurs d'autant plus lorsque la démarche a une finalité formative. L'évaluation centrée sur l'utilisation vise à assurer qu'un certain nombre de conditions soient réunies pour optimiser l'utilisation des connaissances produites en cours de processus. Cette note sur la pratique en évaluation décrit cette approche ainsi que les conditions du transfert de connaissances favorables à l'utilisation des résultats par les utilisateurs. Elle présente un exemple concret d'application de l'évaluation centrée sur l'utilisation et les facteurs ayant permis les succès de la démarche y sont mis en lumière. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
