| Abstract: | The article focuses on the use of the concept of the Monty Hall problem when teaching mathematics to students. It presents several ways on how to solve the Monty Hall problem wherein a contestant on a game show is provided the choice of three doors to open in which behind one door is a prize. The use of the logical complement and the tree diagram as well as a formula for the probability of winning is discussed. |
