The article focuses on the concept of discourse community, a construct of social rhetoric, and discusses the use of this concept for analyzing argument and public sphere rhetoric. It discusses how the concept of discourse community as a reading heuristic may help students in improving their writing skills. It also discusses the concept's applicability in analyzing digital and multimedia texts. |
