Abstract: The article discusses a study on the use of rapid plasma reagin (RPR) test in screening for syphilis in adolescents using the electronic medical records of patients at aacademic medical center in New York City. Topics covered include the vaccination of patients with true-positive (TP) and false-positive (FP) RPR tests, the number of patients with rheumatologic disorders, and laboratory bills for each RPR test, RPR titers and fluorescent treponemal antibody absorption (FTA-ABS).
