Title: RESEARCH INTO PRACTICE.
Authors: Tasker, Roy
Source: Teaching Science: The Journal of the Australian Science Teachers Association. Jun2014, Vol. 60 Issue 2, p16-27. 12p.
Subject Terms: *Chemistry education, Scientific visualization, Molecular structure, Chemical structure, Simulation methods & models
People: Johnstone, A. H.
Abstract: The article exlores the three levels of chemical education thinking proposed by A. H. Johnstone. Topics covered include the importance of the visualization at the molecular level for a deep understanding of chemistry, the Vischem Project which produced molecular animations, depicting the structures of substances and chemical and physical changes and how animations and simulations can effectively communicate many key features about molecular level.
