Abstract: The article discusses the effectiveness of browsing as a practice strategy for creating lifelong library users when taught to elementary learners. Topics covered include several definitions of browsing, the relation of browsing to information seeking, and the value of browsing for library users, such as being a more flexible and adaptable means of searching.
