Abstract (English): At Cienfuegos S.A Refinery, the efficiency of each furnace is a critical variable to control. In this sense, the study proposed to establish the combined burning of fuel oil - fuel gas in the burners of the first chamber of the F-203 furnace. A methodology was presented for the comprehensive evaluation of said improvement proposal, which takes into account the calculation of energy efficiency before and after the improvement, the improvement in the environmental impact was demonstrated through the Life Cycle Analysis, with the use of the SimaPro 7.1 software by the Eco-Speed method and the economic analysis validated the proposal. As a relevant result, it was possible to increase the efficiency of the furnace by 4.5%; the combustion efficiency increased by 26.86% and the combustion gas outlet temperature decreased by 36.47 ° C. Abstract (Spanish): En Refinería Cienfuegos S.A la eficiencia de cada horno constituye una variable crítica a controlar. En tal sentido, en el estudio se propuso establecer la quema combinada de fuel oíl - gas combustible en los quemadores de la primera cámara del horno F-203. Se presentó una metodología para la evaluación integral de dicha propuesta de mejora, que tiene en cuenta el cálculo de la eficiencia energética antes y después de la mejora, se demostró la mejora en el impacto ambiental mediante el Análisis del Ciclo de Vida, con la utilización del software SimaPro 7.1 por el método Eco-Speed y el análisis económico validó la propuesta. Como resultado relevante se logró aumentar la eficiencia del horno en 4,5 %; la eficiencia en la combustión se incrementó en un 26,86 % y la temperatura de salida de los gases de la combustión redujo 36,47 °C.
