| Abstract: | The article focuses on the 26th International Electromagnetic Induction Workshop (EMIW2024), organized under Division VI of the International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy (IAGA), which addresses electromagnetic induction studies in the Earth and planetary bodies. Held in Beppu, Japan, EMIW2024 gathered 388 participants from 37 countries to present research across nine sessions covering topics such as instrumentation, EM theory, tectonics, exploration methods, and planetary studies. Keynote reviews highlighted advances in marine tectonic EM studies, tectonic imaging in Japan, exploration of supercritical geothermal systems, planetary electromagnetic induction, and the application of machine learning in geoelectromagnetics. The workshop serves as a significant platform for academic exchange and supports various industries including geothermal energy, mining, and environmental monitoring. [Extracted from the article] |
