Abstract: Educational institutions are one of the key contributors to worldwide energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Besides, they are increasingly recognized as critical agents in fostering sustainable development. Amidst of rising energy prices, effective energy management is essential for promoting sustainability and reducing environmental impact. This study presents a scalable, integrated framework that begins with a systematic energy audit to identify inefficiencies, followed by the implementation of energy efficient measures. A key advancement of the framework is the incorporation of renewable energy technologies, evaluated through technical and economic analyses using standardized performance indicators. Furthermore, the framework emphasizes education as a transformative force, embedding sustainability into curricula and institutional culture to ensure long-term behavioral change. The proposed framework has been implemented in an educational institution and the obtained results justify its effectiveness. The recommended measures enhance the energy efficiency, and the integration of the renewable energy system fulfills the institution's annual energy demand. The Levelized Cost of Energy for the system is found to be $0.0496 per kWh, which suggest its cost effectiveness. The positive Net Present Value and Profitability Index further confirm the economic feasibility of the investment. The combined approach is also projected to reduce CO2 emissions by 518 tons annually. The framework contributes directly to global decarbonization objectives and aligns with Sustainable Development Goals. Its adaptability across diverse geographic, climatic, and economic contexts ensure global applicability and relevance, which make it a strategic solution for policymakers, administrators, and stakeholders committed to climate resilience and systemic change.
